About Jeff Bevins
I became a residential estate agent in January 1986, with a national firm, initially based in Bracknell, Berkshire.
In November 1991, I started my own company which began trading in April 1992, in Basingstoke in Hampshire. That company was Claygold Property Limited, trading as Redwoods Estate and Lettings Agents. I was one of the founders, as well as Managing Director of the company, from April 1992, until May 2013.
During that time we successfully traded and expanded to the extent that at one stage I was responsible for the employment of 89 staff. The company had 14 outlets across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey, consisting of 9 sales offices, 5 lettings offices, with over 1200 residential properties under management.
We also had our own mortgage and financial services department, which at its height employed 5 IFA’s plus a team of admin staff, and we were producing approximately 700 mortgages per annum. Further to this we had our own in-house property maintenance team, looking after commercial and residential properties. I was also principle and joint owner of a Santander Building society agency handling around £30,000,000 a year on behalf of Santander.
During my career I have successfully negotiated a number of new homes, sites and land sales for my company, involving small, medium and plc clients and developers. I have dealt with a number of sites, ranging from single to multiple plots for luxury new homes, as well as apartments and retirement developments, plus commercial redevelopment and commercial sales.
